Steve cavanagh11th July 2019 saw the release of Marnie’s hotly anticipated new crime-thriller, Tightrope. Set in both the footballer belt of Hale in Cheshire as well as London, she revisits the North West, this time, focusing on the hypocrisies of suburbia and the sharp contrast between the haves and the have-nots.

Tightrope introduces readers to PI, Bev Saunders for the first time. Bev’s not your average gum-shoe though. Recently divorced, penniless and suffering from a sex- and origami-addiction, Ms Saunders takes us on a tour of London’s sex clubs as well the institutional therapy room of her local health centre, where she’s being treated for anxiety and OCD. You’ve never met a heroine like Bev, and with her glittering marketing career in the gutter thanks to an ex from hell, she’s never taken on a case like that of battered wife, Angela Fitzwilliam. Bev must dig up the dirt on Angie’s husband, Jerry. Except Jerry is a powerful Shadow Cabinet Minister and Bev finds out she’s the one being watched, with her reputation on the line…
